Topic Source:
This week's show is sponsored by Microsoft and hosted by Vigabyte virtual hosting.
On this week's show we chat with Jose Nazario, the manager of security research for Arbor Networks. Jose is joining us to talk about the latest trends in botnet C&C. Apparently, using IRC is sooooo 2005 these days...
We also talk to Stuart Strathdee from Microsoft in this week's sponsor segment. In it, we discuss alleged criminal mastermind and all round badass Albert "The SoupNazi" Gonzalez. Will his capture and prosecution be a deterrent or an inspiration to fraudsters?

The comments about analyst reports grabbed my attention for some reason. Whilst we all know that reports written by the likes of Gartner, Burton etc are pretty much not worth the paper that they are written on, it still seems that a lot of CXO level people believe what is in them.
I know of a lot of larger enterprises and government departments in Aus that subscribe to these analyst materials and that they do indeed seem to read them and take it in. The amount of times i've been having a discussion with a senior exec about a project and they have referenced or forwarded an analyst report is just scary.
Maybe its just me, but a report that you pay $$$$ to get into (hello, Gartner) just doesnt seem like a valid way to influence a decision making process.
Now....back to writing my stenographic command and control systems....
